Alex Under reopens his account on Soma with a brand new EP “Hora De Aventuras”
After his critically acclaimed album La Máquina De Bolas, Alex returns to his techno roots with two pumping tracks backed up by 3 top quality remixes from Fernado Sanz & Cesar Martinez. Opening track ‘El Perro’ is classic Alex Under. A monster combination of rolling sub bass, popping drums and a tearing pad line added to by a white noise splash that will tear through the club speakers, peak time madness!! Second up we have “El Humano” which brings us down us a notch after the thrill of El Perro. A much slower pace is taken here as Alex opens up over the course of the track with a deep, evolving minimal groove.
The first of the remixes sees Fernando Sanz take on ‘El Humano’. Fernando makes delicate use of the original, utilising a deep synth to keep the track flowing nicely between the realms of house and deep techno. Fernando also creates an excellent version of EP opener “El Perro”. Again, he takes us down a deeper path with this remix. A subtle vocal sample sits over synth stabs with a pad line that flies in and out toward the break being lead by simple yet effective drum patterns. The final remix of the EP sees Cesar Martinez deliver his interpretation of ‘El Perro”. Sticking to the techno guns for this, Cesar utilises the power of the original adding some unique samples to push this monster even further. Overall, 3 great remixes that compliment two top quality techno tracks from the extremely talented Alex Under.
